Cheapest CS2 knives: prices, wear and buying checks
A cheap knife is a particular model, finish and exterior, not just a low starting price. The table below ranks knife finishes in our saved data and identifies the exterior behind each minimum.
Editorial review: . Price snapshot: · Skinport · USD.
Reference prices, not live offers. Suggested values may replace unavailable listings; fees, rare patterns and applied sticker premiums are not included. Missing prices are not zero.
Data and examples
What this ranking actually compares
We take the lowest positive reference price across valid exteriors for each knife finish, exclude missing prices and sort ascending. Vanilla knives have no named exterior. This is a comparison of the catalog snapshot, not a claim to cover every marketplace or every individual listing.
A lower position does not make a knife better. Compare the model, animations and finish you actually want. Opening cases is not a way to guarantee the knife in the table; a direct purchase identifies the exact item you receive.
Check the wear behind the price
The cheapest exterior can be Battle-Scarred or Well-Worn. Open the linked skin page to compare the full float range and inspect the finish before deciding whether a cleaner example is worth the difference. The same float number does not make two different finishes look equally worn.
Our table also links the documented case pools. A case association describes where a finish can appear; it does not imply that opening that case is cheaper than buying the skin.
A short buying checklist
Confirm the exact knife model, finish, exterior and whether StatTrak is present. Inspect the actual item, not just the catalog icon. Check trade availability, the platform's final checkout price and any payment or currency-conversion costs.
The saved price can include a suggested value when Skinport has no active listing. Treat it as a shortlist, not a guaranteed buy button. Compare again on the seller's page and do not pay a pattern premium based only on a generic starting price.
FAQ
Are these guaranteed live knife offers?
No. These are dated reference prices. The source can substitute a suggested value when listings are unavailable, so availability and checkout price need confirmation.
Does the cheapest exterior always look worst?
Not necessarily. Wear affects finishes differently. Inspect the particular float and pattern instead of judging only by its exterior label.
