FAQ
What does the index measure?
The cost of buying one copy of each of 32 liquid CS2 skins on a fixed exterior (AK-47 | Redline Field-Tested, AWP | Asiimov Field-Tested and so on), at the lowest live Skinport listing of the day. The first day every skin had a price is 100; 110 means the same basket costs 10% more. Knives, gloves and Doppler phases are left out so that one expensive item can't move the whole index.
How are missing days handled?
Prices are recorded once a day. When a skin has no listing on a day, its last price carries forward for up to a week (a listing that sold out yesterday is still that price); if it stays unlisted longer, the day is skipped rather than guessed. The 7, 30 and 90-day changes compare the latest close with the newest close at least that many days old.
Is this the price of my inventory?
No. It tracks the mainstream of the market: mid-priced rifle, pistol and SMG skins that sell every day. Knives, gloves, rare patterns and stickers move on their own; check your items in the inventory tool.
